THE NEW IMMIGRATION CONSORTIUM EFFORT

This IPIA Consortium is working on issues of immigration on three levels:

A group of six faculty members from Economics, Sociology, and Political Science are working on a project "Integration of the Undocumented and Documented in a New Destination: Utah" with a grant of $238,401 from the Russell Sage Foundation.

A much larger group of faculty interested in issues of migration share information and provide mutual support in research, teaching and public policy initiatives on issues of migration.

Faculty members are involved with community members in addressing the manifold public policy issues surrounding immigration. The last phase of the RSF grant will research the many dimensions of immigrant integration into Utah society.
